#76 We discuss with Laura Sommer about behavioral science and how we can enable our societies to make better decisions!

Dr. Laura Sommer is a passionate sustainability consultant, facilitator, and lecturer. For more than 10 years, she has worked extensively on motivation and communication for environmentally friendly behavior. In her work, she is combining behavioral science and creative communication to design environments that motivate people to act environmentally friendly. Laura also teaches Science Communication and leads Resilience workshops for individuals and teams with her colleagues from the Sustainable Natives.

Furthermore, Laura holds a doctorate in environmental psychology. In her doctoral research, Laura studied the effect of climate change art on people and curated Michael Pinsky’s Pollution Pods – an art installation that makes air pollution in four world metropolises physically tangible. Laura remains connected to the arts through texts she writes for environmental art exhibitions or talks she gives on the topic.
